i have a 980 litre(258 gallon) tank setup, i currently have 1 clown knife, 2 bala sharks, 1 tsn, 2 lemon barbs and 3 pangasius in there the biggest fish is only about 15 cm(6 inches), i do realise the potential size of my current fish but i do have other 100+ gallon tanks to move them to, besides all the fish are still small and have a few mates that will gladly take them, anyways i have always wanted to own an oscar, call it a dream i guess:D, i initially wanted to put in 2 oscars in the tank but decided against it as i wanted a variety of fish, so my question is can i put an oscar in my tank with the current fish that i have in there??? and how will it behave with others if i do.

Sure, I see no reason for you not get a pair. To me you 260gal tank is a great start. Take in consideration that the oscars are new to a new tank, so the oscars might get beat upon, but the tables might turn in the long run. Just watch the fish and see if there is any aggression, if their is, move them or move the problem fish.

i have done plenty of research on oscars , and with all the info i have got i still am in doubt, i'm still curious as to how an oscar will behave in this setup, i am aware that every fish has his own personality but am willing to take the chance, i really developed a passion for these guys,i thought that if i let my fish grow up together than there wont be too much aggression rather than adding in more fish when the other tank occupants are bigger
also i've read up in most places that oscars love re-arranging tanks anybody have these experiences

ya a tiger oscar would fit
