Got a spare 4x2x2Foot tank , still in two mind over what to put in it , was thinking a Semi - Planted tank full of Angels and Tetras and barbs . But now i am think diffrent things now for it !

Just had the thought of filling it with Pleco' .

I have two Large Common pleco's now in a different tank and was thinking of getting some diffrent type to go in with them in the spare 4x2x2 tank .

The Pleco i could get are -

Albino Common
Bushy nose
Magnum
Golen Nugget
Large Spotted
Emperor
Mustard
Blue Panque
Tiger
Royal
Clown
Bulldog
Leopard Dotted
Flash
Para Pleco

What would be the best too go together ?
Or . . . Is it just a waste of time/ money filling the tank full of pleco ?

yes you can put more than one type in a tank
go for the magnum it is hard one to find

i like gold nuggets, mangos, peppermint, bristle nose, king tigers.......lots more i'm sure these ones don't get to big tho not as large as commons

They can tend to fight. Consider having a lot of hiding spaces, crooks, and crannies, etc. I used tons of driftwood and rocks and my pleco species tank worked out nicely. I did have to remove one as its fins seemed to always get torn.

Yeah, you can, except they'll all mostly stay on the floor or against the walls and you might end up feeling like there's a bunch of empty swimming space. If you're fine with that, go for it!

As for me, I'd fill the empty swimming space with either a couple of medium fish or a school of small fish.

First of all, NO it wont be awaste of time! I would suggest researching all the plecos you have on your list and narrow down the ones you really like, because not all will fit in the tank. Do you want a bunch of small plecos are a few bigger ones? Planetcatfish.com is a great place to start with finding out basics such as size and diet. Keep in mind also different species will have different diets. Some will be carnivorous and some omnivorous or herbivorous. You should try to pick fish that all have generally the same diet. Too much protien for the non-carnivorous can lead to health issues.

Thanks for all the feedback people . :)

I like all the ones i have listed up on my first post . I am not really sure which ones i would get as i like them all ( i just love Pleco, and want a tank full of them ) , as long as the two Commons get along with them and the others get along with my two Commons im not really sure/ bothered which types i get . Sorry for not been very sure on the ones i would get , ill do a little research now on them and post back later .

But if it was you lot to choose the Pleco's for the tank , what would all go for ?

And as someone posted up before saying to add a couple of other fish to fill up the empty space , what would be good to go in with them and not bully the Pleco or the Pleco bully them ? :)

Being that you want a tank full of them, I would go with a smaller species and as far as what is on your list I really like the looks of the flash pleco and could see a tank full of them looking really nice, not to mention you could attempt to breed them. and if it were me and I was setting up a "pleco tank" I think I would go with huge school of tetras or some small schooling fish just for some movement.

I do like and if i can would get -

Golen Nugget
Clown
Mustard
Royal
Flash
Para

Are all these ok together ?
How many of each could i get ?
