I think the fish needs some time to settle in before you can truely tell it's behavior. It was just shipped in a bag across the country.

i had my red belly for a year or so before he started to be very active. not its been like 3+ ( alittle over 3 years ) i have him chaseing my finger, and when im on my computer he comes to this side of the tank most of the time. Great Fish if given time. i mean its a pet cant just get rid of him/her because they arent swimming circles and doing flips. need to give them time.
