well I currently have
8 tiger barbs
2 black skirt/ widow tetra
3 dwarf gourami
1 2-inch shrimp
1 sucker fish.
these in my planted tank.

now I want to have a blood parrot in my planted tank because of there red color they will look very beautiful in planted[green color] tank.

so my question is can I have a blood parrot in my planted tank?:irked:
I just want to add one BP with thyem...or blood parrot is not suitable for planted tank?
and if yes then can I have him with tiger barbs? if not then can I have angel with BP and dwarf gourami and shrimp , sucker?:naughty:
and if nun of them then what can I have with BP in planted?
pls suggest....

What is this sucker fish? Common pleco? Chinese algae eater?

Which plants do you currently keep?
Tank size?

Blood parrots will easily chomp your shrimp especially if the tank is not heavily planted. Since they are cichlids, you will need a backup tank in case their personality clashes with the rest of your fish. I don't think the tiger barbs will have problem with BP as long as the space permits and neither with angels.

your tiger barbs will pick on your " black skirt/ widow tetra" if thats the one with longer fins

tiger barbs are kinda mean btw

Like Lupin asked, tank size is crucial in answering this question, but I wouldn't do it just because over all it's not a good idea.. What everyone has said so far I agree with... if you love your plants don't put them with a BP(blood parrot) they will soon be uprooted... as for the other fish.. it's hard to tell ... different fish have different personalities...

IME BP's do best in a school. I have never had any problems with them uprooting plants. This tank is half live plants half fake.
