Hello, just wondering if I could have 2 oscars ( 1 albino and 1 normal tiger) and a green terror in my 175 gallon tank 24' x 24' x 72' they will be brought up together as juveniles and there will be no other fish in there.
Thanks
The 2 Oscars should be fine but their is no guarantee's when it comes to cichlids, in a tank that size I would say the odds are in your favor. The Green terror is not as fast a grower as the Oscars he might be picked on as they grow give them plenty of places to hide and avoid each other and see how things go. As far as tank mates my go to with Oscars is always silver dollars or Severums.
Good luck and post some pics when your tank is up and running.
Wow I'm really beginning to love this forum these reply's are so quick and helpful thanks so much guys. where would I post the photos once its up and running?
One last thing, I really don't want to deal with fry, any signs of gender I could search for when picking the fish up to prevent the oscars breeding or anything I could do to stop them breeding later on?
Oscars are really tough to sex. As already mentioned, you could add some severums to the tank too... the GT will def lag behind the Oscars in growth rate.
