I went from fresh to salt a year or so ago. I wanna come back!!! So, I am selling off all of my coral. I wanna convert my 90g corner overflow salt to fresh. Can I hook up my Rena XP4 to the overflow? Or do I need to plug up the holes? Any ideas??

Or can I use my 30g sump/refugium underneath? It has 3 chambers and a baffle set up??

Can I transfer all the media from the XP4 into the sump?

Hi,

If you hook up the rena to the bulkheads you now have a closed loop with surface skimming. I did this on my old 180 dual corner overflow, just not with rena filters.. Certainly your sump wet/dry can be used for FW, just clean it first :)

The rena media can certainly be placed in the sump to help seed it.

Hope this helps. Welcome back btw...
