In my bedroom I have a 55 with my bass in it and in my garage I have a 125 that will be his home very soon. Can I keep both tanks in my bedroom? Its like having a 180 gallon fish tank. Will the floor hold?:nilly:

it depends on how old the house is. it also depends on how you want to place them. i would personally place one on one wall and the other on a different wall away from the first one if possible. that way you would distribute the weight on the floor and that would lower the stress of the floor joists.

shouldnt have a problem
i have 200 gallons of water in my room and its fine depends on place ment i guess

Depends on who made it.

Id say you should be fine. I have a 150G, 100G, 45G, and 35G in my bedroom. I worry more about my 45G and 35G than the others because they are on a dual stand and are parallel to the floor joists while the other two are perp and are longer than 3ft :) Really 125G tanks arnt that heavy per square inch because all their weight is spread out over a 6ft area.

i had 460g worth of tanks in my old apartment on the 3rd floor...but mind you that was an apartment complex.
good thing i moved to the ground floor. no gallon restictions here

yea i ask the same question. I have a 60 upstairs but I was told not to push it. it needs to be like on a beam kinda think, and its not like your gonna put a 125 dead center of your upstairs lol or areeeee you?!!! lol
