Can i keep a giant snakehead in a 6ft x2.5x2.5?Will glass break?

kok, from my experience if u reared it from a juvenile size the possibility of d fish to break d glass is very low. I have a couple of juvenile micropeltes before and I did not encounter such problem unless it's a wild captive about 1kg above then u must be careful..i have a friend with a 9 kg wild captive from the mining pool and after rearing it for a month when it's adjust to the environment sad to say it smashed the 6ft tank and my friend gave d fish to another friend with a man made pond. good luck. find one witha nice pattern n colour
snakeheads need a minimum of a 4 foot width tank to feal secure and they dont ever do well in captivity so we all need to get them on a boat and send them back to asia!! lol no he should be fine in a bigger tank keep him untill he outgrows you wich should be in a year
whats the thickess of the glass? I have had mine on a 0.25 inch thin glass...they are still alive hehehehe...

The biggest giant snakehd i kept was 2ft++ (years ago), 3 of them, in a 6ft tank wth 12mm thick glass as well, gave to my friend due to their size after on.
come to the ques,
when it grows, i mean more than 2.5ft, i really dunno 12mm will it hold or not....
