I'm looking into getting a ray preferably one with a slower growth rate (tank is 84wx18dx24h 157gallons). Could i keep a teacup or motoro in this for around 2 years till i upgrade to a tank with a larger footprint? Other tankmates? I currently have:
-1 oscar (not sure which type he is? no definite pattern as of yet very dark!)
-1 GT which i wouldn't mind getting rid of, He's an absolute stunner but he has killed an oscar...
-3 pictus cats
-tiretrack
-3 bala shark.

Would be nice to get a ray but i will go without if needs be! Would appreciate your opinions on this one! I've also ordered 2 featherfin synds so i would like to know if i could possibly keep a ray?

Thanks for reading, Elijah!

I vote yes to a hystrix or retic, maybe a yes if the motoro is small. You'll love ray keeping!

I hope so! My GT will only annoy the remaining oscar and leaves the bottom dwellers (the majority of fish i keep, the best ones!) So IMO i think he'll be fine with a new ray chum haha!
