it will only be by itself and im prepeared to do water changes every 2 or 3 days? can i keep it? if not can anyone suggest a monster fish that i can keep in a 10 gallon.

I'm afraid you can't - unless if you do want to stunt the fish, or at least create a low quality life for the fish.

The reason "monster" fish are called "monster" is for obvious reasons, although there are some fish with a ton of "spunk" for small sizes. Even in a small community tank, one or two will become dominant and act monsterlike.
Some of the dwarf cichlids are great - you may want to look into Apistogrammas or something similar, if you can give them proper water conditions.

how big do red belly piranha's get anyway?? also what if i put maybe a penguin 350 in the 10 gallon will it work? what is the minimum size for one piranha?????

I strongly suggest you read some fish books - you'll learn a lot of neat stuff.
RBP's grow to about 8 inches on average, but I have seen plenty of 10 inchers. A 75 gallon tank is probably suitable for 2 or 3. Needless to say, your 10 gallon, once again, will not house one of these fish.

Moreover, they grow very fast, so you could not even keep a baby in a 10 gallon for very long. (2 months or so.)

See my previous comments for alternatives.

also, im not sure u really want to keep just one red belly P.these are shoaling fish and will depress if put alone. you will not really have fun watching any fish in a 10 gal...its bad but its like that. you should consider a bigger thank,u can find some cheap aquariums on the net if you search a little bit,but thats my personnal advice. but u cant keep any kind of piranha in a 10 gal for sure.

a 10g is a flower pot or an ashtray. too small for fish. put a betta in it

by the way,a rbp need aproximatly 20 gal per fish. considering having just one is not the best(will be skittish as hell, not the kind of monster your lookin for i think) i would say 3 rbp in a 55 gal is not bad, even if not the very best.you gotta understand that a shoaling fish feels secure when in a shoal, and will be agressive when feeling confident. if alone, he'll always be nervous and affraid of everything and anything.

ya the only thing i use a 10 gal for is my feeder fish and if i order some smalle baby fish, but even then in about 2 months and i haft to move them out bc they got to big

look into a couple danios and a plant or 2 then when you are ready add a 75 gallon and get your self some Ps.... you are by no means ready for them sorry to be harsh but you need to do a lot of research.....
