I rescued a juvenile saddled bicher from my African tank which sadly lost an eye. He is now doing great and healed up…he is about 4 inches top. Currently he is doing some growing in a 2ft tank until he moves up to my larger tanks. My question is I have an opportunity to get a similar sized Delhizi bicher and wondered would the two of them get along in the grow out tank?
I’m unsure if my juvenile ornate took the saddled eye or one of my African haps as they were all in my big tank together.
General consensus here was it probably was one of the Africans even though I did see the two bichers fight when they met and the Ornate is doing just fine.
I’m sure u can understand my hesitation adding a juvenile delhizi with my baby saddled if all they will do is fight like the ornate did, especially as now he has one eye although healed up.

thanks

generally 2 is a bad number for bichirs, either alone or more than 2. A 2 ft tank isn't that long, so that even lessens the chance of it working out. You need to put a divider in the 2 ft tank
