Ive had a few freshwater tanks and I want to make a saltwater one out of the 10 gallon I have laying around, Is that enougth for a basic saltwater tank?
Also what would I need to buy to have it as cheap as possible, I dont want anything special just like a clown fish or something.

Yes, you can there is another thread on here where a member has a 2g SW tank and it looks freakin awesome.. and thriving... I'll try and find the thread.

Micro reefs are inda big right now. Alot of operations carry fish and inverts specifically for the smaller setups. As as warning, they take a little more monitoring cause as others have said the larger gallon setups are buffered against small changes. When something goes wrong it goes fast in the smaller set-ups

Yes you could a small reef..but its generally better with a 55G for a smaller healthier tank if you want fish to..

Not to be rude and just my opinion but if you have to ask your not ready and a lot more research is in order on your part. Saltwater isn't like freshwater and you can learn as you go unless you want some really costly lessons. I would build a strong foundation before attempting a saltwater tank.

Ya I know im starting to read about it and if I do make one it will be in a while, I just wanted to know If there are saltwater fish that could live in a 10 gallon

But by asking on here is a big step in doing the proper research. In my opinion, asking questions before you start is the best, and cheapest, way to learn about what to and not to do. As for your question, I'm not a salt expert so I don't have any specific recommendations, but what about just having some live rock and inverts?

WTF, fo real? So i have any questions about setting up a new tank or keeping a specie i've never had before then i'm not ready? So this forum is just to read about people's experiences but not to ask questions then?
