Can I put a 55 long upstairs any old place with no worries?

Haha...i feel exactly the same way about being paranoid and this thread helped as i'm about to set up a 55g as well. Buts its on the main floor, against outside wall, across a few joists etc etc.
 
I have 3 75gallons in my bedroom of my 1856 log cabin that was built by a civil war soldier, not a carpenter. I think you will be fine!

And A 55g should be fine anywhere in a well built house

Not the best pic but you can see it, The two additions on the sides were both built in 1932, my room is in the main part.

Ya but ya got dirt floors:D

BTW...the Civil War was from 1861 to 1865, so a little more time on your school work and a little less time playing with the fishys.:grinno:
