Can I put a 55 long upstairs any old place with no worries?

Haha...i feel exactly the same way about being paranoid and this thread helped as i'm about to set up a 55g as well. Buts its on the main floor, against outside wall, across a few joists etc etc.

I have 3 75gallons in my bedroom of my 1856 log cabin that was built by a civil war soldier, not a carpenter. I think you will be fine!

BTW...the Civil War was from 1861 to 1865, so a little more time on your school work and a little less time playing with the fishys.
