I have a 55 gallon tank that is currently stocked with:
6 Buenas Airies Teresa
1 Jack Dempsey
1 Jewel Cichlid
2 Pictus Cats

All the fish are small right now. As they grow I plan on rehoming one of the cichlids. Also all the fish will be regimes in about 15 months when I move across the country. I had never seen a Senegal Birchir before today but a LFS is selling 4" ones and they look pretty awesome. Could I put one on ny tank?

Depends on the temperment of the tank. I had a few barbs in my tank with my bichirs and the barbs would take a nip here and there when they could. Food for thought.

It should be fine with the cichlids as long as they are small enough to not bully it. The tetras will eventually become food.

It depends on the size. Big buenos aires tetras ( i've seen 3.5" and own a 2.5") are pretty high-backed, so they won't be eaten by senegal bichirs.
