can i put a stingray in a 150? is a reticulated stingray the smallest fw ray there is? not sure if an 18in wide would be big enough. if not what other fish could i get in a 150? i like the oddball fish like bgk and elephant noses

edit: did not mean to hit the mad face

150s dimensions are too small.... You could try at least a 30" wide tank. Keep in mind that a retic stingrays size when full grown is about 18" head to tail.

You can definitely start a retic out in a 150 gallon. Depending on its size, diet, and growth rate, you can determine when you'll need to upgrade. Just be prepared and know that you'll likely have to upgrade at some point. I've started several ray pups out in a 120 but definitely needed to upgrade a little later...but their upgrade was to a 300 gallon with 44" wide dimensions. But the retics stay much smaller than the rays I had. You can probably get away with 24" wide dimensions for quite a while with retics.
