I have a standard 4ft tank with a pair of JD's. Can I put anything else in with them? So far all they are doing is hiding,I think I've only seen them twice! Would like something in there that is going to be active, bu if I don't have the space, that's cool :D

senegal or albino senegal bichirs.

Not sure if we can ge them in Oz? Have never seen them anyway!

Agreed, a group of schoolers would work nicely...rainbows, giant danios, congo tetras. Bichir is a great choice, but if you can't find them then obviously not. If you like cats one of the Synodontis cats would work too.

Agreed with 12 volt. What's the gallonage. Also do you mean a PAIR or just two JD's? A PAIR as in their laying eggs and such then you won't be able to put anything slow in with them. They will harass and kill or greatly mess with the other fish. Some dithers like Giant Danios might help though.

I would ditch the jds and go with a small school of mascara barbs and a few black banned silver dollars with an exoctic pleco completing the tank. Thats what I have and beleive me these barbs are always moving thus keep the dollars moving.
