Can I put in RD with Cons

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
First off if you dont plan on getting a 75 gallon within the next year leave the RD out of the 55 gallon. You main issue will be once the RD gets some size to him the 55gallon will be to cramped and he will more then likely kill your convicts. Also convicts like to breed so if you have a pair in there it definately will become a problem with the RD...GoodLuck...

Loc fish,
REC is correct about the size of your tank. In the long run, you may have problems.
RD's and Con's are not bad tank mates in a bigger tank.

yeah, game over for the cons once rd outgrows them.
unless the cons take out the rd with breeding aggression first.

Can I put in RD with Cons

in the right size tank...yes. in a 55 gallon however, no. I agree that as the rd reaches adult size it will be better off in a 75. :)

They would be fine in a bigger tank but someone is going to get f:swear: up in the 55. You are going to need atleast 125 gal for that combo IMHO. Good luck !

you MIGHT be able to get away with it for awhile, put there will most definately be fighting going on in the tank.

Of course you can keep the RD with Con's. . . even once he/she gets adult size. . . of course on that same note you can have fancy guppies and goldfish in there too. . . if you're lookin' for the underwater version of the UFC. . . otherwise a 75 or even larger would be advisable. . .

BTW. . . the sarcasm can't be helped. . . it's just been one of those days. . . gettin' fired sucks :(
