I have 3 cories in a 29 gallon, I used to have 4 but something I'd rather not speak about happened to it.

I want to get a couple more, but I want to be sure they don't bring any pathogens or anything. I have a 10 gallon with a nice decorative rock, that is setup up and running. It has a cobalt blue cichlid that is about two inches, and a black skirt tetra. The temperature is about 77 degrees.

My question is, could I quarantine a couple cories in the 10 gallon with out problems from the cichlid, until I decide to bring them into the 29 gallon? The rock is the cichlid's territory, so I doubt the cories can stay there. I guess I'll have to get another ornament for the cories, so would it be fine? Thanks.

yes you could do it that way,but the cichlid may damage the corys a little! The best way is to remove the cichlid, put the corys in and then after they have settled in MAYBE put the cichlid back in,but it may not work and besides malawi cichlids are a bit too aggressive for corys anyhow, all you can do is try, good luck:)

my GUESS would be that your ok, if the cichlid isn't bothering the black skirt, it most likely wont bother the corys.
