Any help appreciated.

Yes you should run a UV sterilizer. Very beneficial!

Yes people are foolish who do not invest in one. When a tank of high gallonage starts to turn bad it is very hard to get the balance back. Most of the time requires heave medicince. I cant see not having on ovr 55 gallons. Cheap insurrance. When the tank does fail it would require mass amounts of medicine if it is a high gallonge tank. So hundreds in medicine or 50 bucks for a light you can make yourself. Cheep.

Umm, 50.00 you can make your self??

Just buy one you could pick one up second hand for £50 I use a vecton uv sterilizer 600 would not be with out it for my rays:)

yes but i have been told unless you spend over $2k on one they are rubbish

when you say UV light its not just a case of adding a UV reptile light above your tank

you need a UV steralizer that goes on the return pipe of you filter or pump

and yes they are safe with rays
