Can I run this like this ?

I feel kind of stupid for posting this but a question is a question. I was using my empty 15 to drip acclimate my new 10" sun cat. When I moved the cat and emptied the 15 I noticed the top trim could list slide off. Can I run the tank like that long term or should I just silicone it back on?

I'd clean off the old silicone, but a new layer on and adhere the lid back on. It willprobably hold water with out the lid on just fine, but over the long term the lid will help reduce flex and increase the life of the tank. Or you could just keep using it until it leaks, pitch it and get a replacement one.

Well I don't really use this tank anymore just set it up when I need it. I'm just going it silicone it back on
