I know dovii are typically intolerant towards other underwater beings, but I was wondrring if I could sneak in something like a catfish, bichir, or eel. My dovii is around 12" and. Is in a 180gallon with a lot of wood. Do you guys think its worth trying? If so any recommendations on what kind of creature I can introduce?

After ur dovii establish his territory (whole tank), it will be hard to add other wet pets. It can work, but it just depends if ur dovii will tolerate others, u can try rearranging decor to help, turn down temp. Add more than one specie, hiding spaces so dovii cannot get in

I've got him to tolerate other fish before, raphael cats, jaguar cichlid, and he doesn't mind fry what so ever. I have dividers or other tanks if it gets too crazy, I was kinda hoping for some suggestions. Can anyone recommend any species of catfish? maybe even from the same region as dovii?

I recently had to remove my large plecos from my dovi tank. He was on the verge of killing them. It will depend on how aggressive your dovi is. You may not have the same outcome I had.

I'm not too much of a pleco fan, I was hoping for something maybe like bichir, or cool lima shovelnose,is there any cool looking cats from lake nic. Or that region?

Don't think a lima will work as they are almost always on the prowl. Look for something that spends majority of time on the bottom. Maybe a large bichir like an ornate or endli.
