Hi,
I'm upgrading my community tank this week.
I can pick up a tank with pretty stange dimensions.
90cm long-65cm wide-69cm high.
It's a bar type tank with one corner of 45 dgrs.
I'm using a 600Liter canister-filter for my 60Liter tank(...)
My new tank is app. 300Liter.
I want to know if I can put new water in the new tank, dechlor and bacteria in there, and switch the filter.
The cappacity is no problem, but i need to know if the tank has to be cycled as well, or is it just the filter.
Please, any comments?

Your substrate has a marginal amount of bacteria in it however, the core of your bio filter is the canister in most cases. If the canister is kept cycled then you should be fine. Just watch your levels as you add to the bioload.

Dont add to the bioload off the bat! Give your cycled canister the same bio load as before in the bigger tank. After a couple weeks of stable 0 ammonia and nitrite then you can start adding fish :)

Yeah!
Indeed the filterchange has go allright.
The new tank is running and all the little fish are HAVING A BALL!!!!
Total change in behavior in All my fish.
