Just turn the output valve closed to the desired flow

Yes turn the valve on the output where it connects to the canister, maybe 1/3 of the way shut!
You can't attatch it to driftwood? Or a rock? Id say filtration is more important then a plant imo

Well I really have nothing to anchor it to. I am in the process of getting a few peices of driftwood. Once I get all the assembled that would be a good idea. My main concern is that the output is causing the hornwort to block my input. I have to move the hornwort away from the filter input all the time and in a matter of minutes it's back.

Lol take it out then, don't kill urself over a cheap plant!

Can adjust water current in tank, eg, change direction of water going back into tank to spray towards tank wall instead of directly towards filter intake?
