Can I use $1 walmart soil as a substrate?

I'd like to reshape my planted tank and I was just wondering if I could use the $1 Wal-Mart soil as a substrate or should I stick to mirical grow potting mix. It is pretty fine so I wanted to see what you think. I put it in this bucket just to see if If it would clear and it's been like this since yesterday but keep in mind it was put in full force of the hose for 15 minuites.

Personally, I'd try it. I've used various soils, including the Miracle Grow, and they all worked fine. I love dirt tanks! Give it time to clear and of course make sure it has cycled properly and you'll be good to go.
