I know it seem a bit stupid but my tanks PH has crashed and all the store near me are closed is bicarbonate of soda safe to use in my tank to raise the PH i have a stingray btw. I just need the PH up fast!!!!!

Yes, sodium bicarb will raise and buffer your PH...Add an air stone, forced oxygen will bump it up too. Do not raise it too fast though, it will do more harm than good.

Ok thanks a lot i used a little last night and it seems to be raising the PH slowly so all is good fo now.

bicarbonate will raise it but it is not a buffer. means it will not keep it up long and will soon crash again . PH variations are much worse than having low PH. try adding some calcium carbonate based rocks or dead corals to stabilize the PH

I would only use it if I had nothing else. Crushed coral in a filter would work way better over the long term. Adding an airstone bumps the pH also.
