i am setting up a 22 gl sump for my 60 gallon tank my ? is can i use a magnum 350 as a return pump. i am also woundering if a pvc over flow is safe in terms of keeping it from flooding. if so does any one have any drawings of a pvc overflow? so i could build one i am looking for somthing to hang on the back of the tank cuz my tank is not drilled .thank in advace and hope to get some good ideas.

For a magnum to work it needs gravity feed....I also believe that the intake and return tubes need to be about the same length. Not sure how you could set that up to work!

Sounds pretty much covered, check sticky for PVC over flow, canisters don't deal with head pressure, Hoses need to be at the sam hieght.

IMO the safest way to go is to use a pump.

I have done this in the past w/ a magnum works fine. The cool thing about it is that it dosn't need gravity to prime
