.
went to my LFS today and saw a couple things, first are a couple peices of grapewood, i was wondering if i could put this in my tank or not?

then i saw this weird divided tank measured about 48"long x maybe 12"deep and about 10-12" tall, and had a bunch dividers and i wanted to know if i could use it for a sump for my 210? There is also a little hole in one of the sides i was thinking i could plug it or make that where the water came in but it was at the end of the tank on the side instead of the top.

Yes and I don't think so in the second pic. The water has to go under tha dividers, so they would have to be raised and resiliconed in.

ooo
hmm well it was worth a try cause it was only like 65 bucks, so i can use that wood in my tank, will it mess with the parems?

i dont no about the wood but that was a great deal i can never find anything like that. But about the wood dont qoute me but iv seen ppl use it in planted aquariums

No, I wouldn't use grape vine as driftwood. It's not meant to be submerged and can actually start to rot. It's really meant for reptile enclosures and such.

2nd pic I agree with Geo. Probably wouldn't be worth it.

[EDIT: I know some people use grape wood in their tanks, but I can't suggest it myself just from seeing the pic. It looks ok, but I don't feel comfortable saying it is just from the pic]

Don't use it. I speak from experience. Used to have vines in my back yard and thought, "That looks neat" it do, but the tank turned brown so I boild it. When I put it back in. It turned soft. My Ph droped like nobodies business.

The bottom tank looks more like a set up the LFS would use to keep separate pairs of fish, but you would need a filter in each compartment. I would not use it for a sump but may consider doing cichlid pairs in each section.

SMALL cichlid pairs. Its like a 30G tank, 7.5G sections.
All types of wood will effect your chemical composition in some way, wether is be changing the hardness, pH or even adding trace elements.
