can i use this sand for my planted tank?

can i use this sand for my planted tank? its called Nature's Ocean Premium Marine Substrates. i read the review on petco.com for this item and they said it made their tanks cloudy for like days to weeks. i went to go look at it for myself and it is really fine sand. $6 for 10 pounds which i think is a pretty good deal. here it the link. tell me what you think.

depends on your plants.. it says marine substrate, based on that i think it's not good on plants. but i'm only assuming.

Get pool filter sand, its heavy enough where it won't get stirred up much and its $5 for 50lbs. I don't have any rooted plants just java fern and moss attached to driftwood.

can you give me a link to what you have if you can? what color is the sand? and where can i get it?

you should be able to get pool filter sand at any lowes or home depot.

You can get it at a pool supply store too.

Yep, definitely get the pool filter sand and not playsand though as PFS is much cleaner and heavier so it won't be in your filter(s). It's kind of off-white.

I was able to get mine at the local Ace Hardware. They had to order it and even shipped it to the store free of charge.
