I am wondering because I got 4 tanks in my living room alone and one has ick. If I let my python kinda dry out with also running some sink water in it how long before the ick would be dead?

Can you siphon some salt water through the python hose? Or use a 10% bleach solution and make sure you rinse it good?

Ich should die when it is left to dry for a few days. They cannot find hosts so there should not be an issue. If you're paranoid, you can use hot water and pour it there.

I always rinse the hose out with extremely hot water before and after each use. Good to know that it should help.

Ok Hot water thats a good idea. I can definitely do that. I always dry the siphon tube as well. My answer came in the mail today I got another python lol.

I use the Lee's siphon and was wondering if the parts from the pythons might be usable on it. I would like to get the brass fitting. What do you think?

Back on topic how hot should the water be to kill ick quickly (Like 5 minutes) I think I can get it to 100 something.

Hot water should be enough. Besides, how else can ich survive that temperature and without hosts?;)

I bought all the fittings from python for like $20 (USD) and then got some hose from hardware store and put my own python together
