Long story short my cute little baby fire eels are growing into mini monsters.. And I decided to simply build them an indoor pond in my basement. I've always been interested in the FW rays and have learned alot about them via here, and some books, and other online resources. aka doing my homework. I'de like to get feed-back from you guys if you think these will be compatable tank-mates? I'm always leary about mixing fish on the same water table. And I really would hate to lose one of my eels for lack of getting experienced advise. The plan of the pond atm is 12' X 12' X 3' approximately possibly deeper but I'm getting my general plans laid out and stocking. And if so what is a good ray to go with? I honestly prefer smaller, but I've never kept rays before so I want something thats going to be abit hardier. Are Motoros really my only option? Everything I've read and seen says these are compatable tank-mates. What else would you suggest? I'm looking for best compatability first, oddball/exotic second, carewise.
And what if any particular needs will I need for these guys? they seem to have similar needs as my fire eels in reguards to tank decor, water quality. ect ect..
