Can kuhlis eat bloodworms?

I see that black kuhlis mouths are so darn small. Can they eat bloodworms? The darn petstore was out of tubifex worms...

I thought the same thing about my small yo yo's and angelicus botia but they just slurp them up like spaghetti its really fun and cool to watch.
