Hi, I've just come across this on ebay which says 1 day shipping, i mean i dont like the sound of posting a live animal, especially shipping, although it does say 1-day on the details. What are your opinions on this? Is it safe? has anyone tried it? here is the link

P.S. not looking to but a redtail cat, but just wondering about the shipping question.

You are asking if fish can be shipped in one day, and live through it?????????HUH?????????$39.99 Next Day delivery sounds right...........If you have the money then try it.If not, go for 3-4 day shipping..I have ordered fish with the 3-4 day trial and they arrived alive.............And I spent less money..............

There are definitely a few reputable sellers who ship fish that you can find on MFK. I don't know about on EBay. There is also a site called Aquabid you can check out.

How do you think fish get to stores? Magic? ;)

+1

Many online sites and companies sell live fish and ship them to the buyers door within 24 hrs. For example, liveaquaria.com, dave's rare fish, thatpetplace, & livefishdirect....too many to list

i once bought 6x 6" silver aros off ebay and 2 of them died during shipping. possibly one of the worst shipping jobs ever. they put all 6 into one bag, it was obvious that they were not starved a day or two before shipping, there was no heat pack, no bag buddies. The other 4 were in terrible condition due to how they were packaged when shipped, had to nurse them for a good two weeks before they were stable. Their eyes were clouded over and when they were released into the tank they all were at the bottom gasping for air.
