Canada eh?
Alright so here's my problem: I have a 30 gal tank in my room and i want to upgrade to a 55gal tank for my rhom. My question is how much weight can the floor hold?? My room is located on the 3ed floor of the house so its not concrete floor like a basement of course. 55gal at 10 lbs a gallon would = 550 lbs!! not including the stand. Is this safe?

Also how many of you have your tanks in your room??

And your tank may weigh 550 pounds with gravel, stand, and glass in it, but the water only wieghs 462 pounds. Water weighs 8.4 pounds per gallon, not 10 pounds.

But I would safely say that your floor would hold up to a 125 if built to spec.

Thanks for the reply's!! you all made my day
