I currently have a 125 gallon with one tiger oscar, two red bay snooks, one black shark, one fire mouth and one raphael cat. I have an fx5 and a cascade 1500 for filtration. I look at my tank and I think that it needs something else to make it complete. In all of your collective wisdom I figure I can find the answer to my question...............Can I add more fish. I think it would be nice to see more activity in the tank. Would another oscar be pushing it? Can I add another fire mouth? Or should I just leave it as it is?

On another note, I have just recently joined this forum and all I can say it thanks......for fueling my obsession!! No but really, thank you for leading this newbie in the right direction.

you might be but your kinda puchin it with another o, maybe another meeki but idk.

Would be pushing it w/an O. Maybe a Dempsey or some Cons.

maybe a carpinte, GT or JD would be a good idea.

not sure about the shark either, but I'd add a firemouth to form a pair. Lots of room, and the other fish are big enough the FM's shouldn't get too agressive. They like plants too but those are hard to keep with Oscars

I thought about a JD but the Firemouth is smaller = less bio load, so you'd be in better shape adding a small cichlid if any IMO

that shark does grow huge,,,,,and they get aggresive,,,,why dont you maybe go for something a little different like a senagal birchir, fire eel,

My 125 has 2 pearsi 8 and 11 inches, 1 V. Regani 7 inches, 1 P. Nouristatti 7 inches, 1 P Altifrons 5 inches, 1 Nic 7 inches and 2 small V. Heterospillum about 3 inches. I've known for a long time that i need to thin it out but can't bring myself to give them up. Compared to mine yours doesn't seem over stocked.

i would get rid of the Shark as it will out grow the tank and get a JD, GT, maybe also adding plecos would liven it up a little bit
