At one of my lfs they have "teacup" stingrays that they are selling for $100.00 each. I can't tell what they are for lack of experience. Could some of you maybe post some pics of smaller retics or histrix stingrays? All I'm finding on the www is big ones and no close ups of the patterens. The reason I ask about the patterns is because one of the rays has a completely different pattern then all the rest. My best description would be the pattern of a gibby pleco on all but that one.

$100 for a 'tic is a bit pricey..

most all retics look the same, but some can have a weird pattern here and there. what does the different one look like?..disk pattern wise.

like this?

Yes that is what 3 of them look like then the 1 other 1 has a very tight pattern of broken up squigly lines. Looks completely different.

I won't buy a retic anyhow. All I keep hearing is they are not for beginers. I am looking for motoro or histrix I think.

I actually got 2 reticulated for my first rays and am having a blast with them! I have them both in a 125...soon to be a 310 come march they are 5inches now but I have not found them to be all that difficult they have a few basic requirements and as long as those are met and you get healthy rays to begin with I really don't think they are all that hard to keep healthy and happy IMO
