can salvani, and texas cichlids cross?

ive got 3 texas cichlids in my tank, and two salvani's

yesterday one of the texas's changed colors he's almost white in the front, and black in the back, and he's been circling around a salvani female.

im wondering if they are able to cross breed?

yes they can breed.

I think you may have it backwards also... Female Texas breeding colors is what that sounds like!
