I have 5 male Salvini with no females, and 3 female convicts with no males to spare - is it possible?

They are from the same general area, similar size & shape with similar dispositions and breeding habits. I'll give it a try, but have never seen such a thing myself.
Yes! And they are very interesting as well. Make sure you have a 4' plus tank and lots rocks, caves, and driftwood. 
Ive got to see this!!! Im thinkin bout getting a lil salvini and throwing it in my COn tank.. prolly would get Merked tho GOOD LUCK
