My silver has a bump on his back and from one side it looks like its kind of just risen up, but from the other it looks like a jut up.

I know this guy wasn't completely healthy when I bought him (he had some crooked pelvic fins, one was twice as big as the other), but he looks great now, but it seems as if he is growing into the hump, like he has his head and then his back end rises a smidgen.

Is it possible he might grow and have more of a higher back? Or is my aro just sadly deformed?

Post a pic... Then we could tell..

Alright its going to be froma cell phone and probably won't prove anything, but I will try. I think it will only be 1.5 megapixels.

Ok here's a question.

How come my phone's pictures are always green when I take them from close up?

Is it the fluorescent light that is in my tank? I think it is. Because on my 125 I don't have these green looking pics and I don't have these marineland bulbs. I think they are actually just from a home depot and they produce much less algae. I get algae all the time in my 75 and I think it might be because I can't tell with the naked eye but my light has gone to the stronger green spectrum of light.

Anyway here are the useless pics that were suggested, 2 are of a tank shot to show you what I mean by green looking, and its not the plants because anytime i took pics of the 75 they turned out like this.

I will try to install the digicams software on my vista laptop but until i get administrative privileges (Ha!) or my dad signs on just to install it I am stuck with this.

To me he just looks chubby, lol. The only time a silver would get a raised back is if it was cramped and/or stunted, but that normally doesn't happen until the aro is around 12''. Yeah to me he's just big boned :D

Lol well thats good to know he might not be deformed. WHen I get my digital camera working I can show more detailed pictures, but it looks like a bone is sort of jutting up on one side, but it has since I bought it it has just kinda grown into it and its moved back. Maybe he was too skinny when I got him?

Hmm, if thats the case then yeah, we need better pics. Can't tell much from these. All I see is a happy belly, lol.

take sum of the decor out and let him have as much swim room as possbile...see how that goes for a few weeks/month?

I actually added the hanging driftwood to bring him out more. He used to just hang out in the corner of the tank when I moved him from my 29 to my 75. In my 29 it was aquascaped sort of similar, I had a floating plant at the top, a piece of driftwood pointing up, and I had a larger one leaning against the corner and he was always cruising. When I added the drifwood and floating plant thing he gets out and about a lot more. It was like night and day. I think he felt uncomfortable swimming around without any cover.
