I saw these on Instagram earlier and I'm wondering is this surgically altered or a actual mutation? And why would anyone do or want this?

Maybe the took a chunk out of the poor thing when it was smaller and it wound grew back with that depression?

From my understanding it is surgically altered just like the heart shaped parrots where they cut tail off.

these kind of parrot are not from pts. They have been surgically by people and you can find them for sell in local fish store in Asia for a cheap price. IMO, they look pretty cool.

Oh jeez. That horn looks like it'd break off if it hit something or struggled in a net too hard. Parrots look derpy enough do they really gotta scoop out its brain too lol
