Can somebody...flowerhorn?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Your opening up a can of worms with this one heh. Depends on who you ask and which region of the hobby. The issue is some breeders classify fish based on lineage while others base on characteristics. I stay away from the strain game because its very political but I will do a quick write up of the basics. There is also a list floating around here of the names

Thanks but, what is zz and kok?

A lot of thanks, then, there are more flowerhorn of this? gmonkey, king kamfa, red dragon, bonsai f, kilin parrot, normal and short boy?

Flowerhorn is the umbrella name but within them each generation or new variation/strain have a new name. Since hybrids differ so much from batch to batch by swapping out a parent could give you a different outcome they need to have a new name to not be confused with the previous variation. They may have a shorter body, more intense coloring, more pearls, less pearls, different pearling pattern etc etc

Thanks danz, I see more fine
