Ok so I have a 3in NTT (thin bar Datnoid) and I’m growing him out in a 45 gallon. Question is….. he is the only thing in there right now and tank cycles 7 times per hour, don’t worry I’m increasing that this all kinda happened quick. Anyway filtration istnt the point, he’s happy and knows me, he will come to glass when I get there and is active. I feed him live food but am working on getting him on pellets. Ok now to the actual question:
I know NTT grow slow but is a 45 ok for him?
Currently The only tank member.Should I put anything with him or let him be alone?
mince I know he won’t be eaten he will be in my monster tank (mine, not comparing what people call a monster tank) with my peacock bass, Oscar’s, and jaguar cichlid.
the other grow out option is to put him in a 125 where I have an interesting but also very active and healthy community. The 125 has 1 salvini, mated pair turkana jewel,1 orange flash apisto (huge), baby wild type Oscar just for growing out, a Firemouth, convict, and polar parrot. I’m pretty sure the last two are paired as well! There are also about 30 tigerbarbs as dither fish.
