Can someone explain normal cichlid breeding behavior?

I am new to the cichlid keeping world and have a female RD and a male Jag in a 125g and recently she has been picking fights with him and digging a pit (yeah i know thats normal cichlid behavior) what else do i need to keep an eye out for to indicate its breeding behavior?

Look for her cleaning the rocks and glass with her mouth. Also look for her to fan her body and her breeding tube becoming exposed.

If they want to breed their tubes will be exposed they will liplock for a while then in a few days you should have eggs.... I doubt you red devil will breed with the jag.... Im not saying its imposible but very unlilely...
