try a waterchange and defiantly check out your parameters. That should help.

i just did one 3 days ago...

he now swims with his tail kinda hanging down

Maybe add some stress coat. Have you been touching this fish with your hands? Strange question, I know, but this can stress fish out when their slime coat is tampered with.

Aros swimming at a funny angle probably means a swim bladder problem. I don't have any personal experience with this, but from what I know there's not much you can do about this problem...

So I hope I'm wrong and everything works out ok :(

once in a while my aro will pout for no apparent reason. How long has it been since it ate, and water parameters will help.

you need to know your water parameters, even when everything is allright this way you can have a baseline to compare too. Sorry I don't know what advise to give without knowing the water parameters. Could be an amonia spike, maybe your city tap water has changed some citys add amonia to the water supply, what do you feed him, live food could of pick up a parasite or even an injury.

Best bet is provide as much detailed info as you can, this will maybe find some one who had similar experience.

Good luck, I hope for the best.

this depends on the health of the fish, but normally that shouldnt have any negative affects

mine would be dead otherwise
