I understand that there are a lot of different things it could be, but if I could get a general idea of what is in my tank it would be nice. I picked it up from PetSmart. It came in a shipment of feeders. I have two of them, one is about 1.5 inches and the other is approaching 2.5. The larger one molted for the first time and has become darker brown with black markings across the tail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lol that is just the avearge crayfish sold at lfs....don't know thier exact scientific name...as thier so common that thier just called "Crayfish" at like 30 lfs that I went to.

Lol, thanks. They don't sell these guys in my area so I really had no clue. The only ones I see are red, blue or white out here. But he was free so I thought I might give crays a try.

Do you have them in seperate tanks? If they are together they will probably kill each other.

Yeah I separated them about two days ago. The smallest one started hunting my fish, so he has his own tank now. The bigger one is happy with shrimp pellets and peas (and all my live plants).
