I was wondering what type of catfish this is. It is about 8 inches long with barbells that are 4-6 inches long. Hard to get pictures of this fish as it hides most of the time during the day.
Welcome to the forum! It is definitely from the large Pimelodus genus, a close relative of P. blochii, P. tetramerus, etc. sold commonly under the common name of four-line pim catfish. What exact species? Hard to say for me. Check out the species yourself: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/genus.php?genus_id=101
Looks like it coud be Pimelodus mysteriosus - see in the linked list above. For those that have no photos or only dead specimen, try FishBase, Scotcat, etc.
It could also be a blochii (one of the most commonly sold pim cats in the US) as the coloration of this species varies regionally. Sorry, you need an expert to pin it down exactly (with better pics perhaps), which I am not.
Yes I believe it is the P. blochii or at least that is what it was sold to me as. I just couldn't remember what the name of it was. Thank you guys very much for your help!!!
Also, I have a great video of this fish if anyone would like to see it. There is no way to post a video on here that I know of but if anyone is interested I could email it to you.

Not sure if you are after a firm ID or not. Many blochii-look-alikes, I'd say 90% of them, are called blochii by the exporters, transshippers, and sellers erroneously. If he is a blochii, he is an unusual one as I was trying to convey. It may not be a blochii at all. Not that the care and the behavior differ much. They are essentially the same.
I suggest posting the pic and the video on PlanetCatfish - your cat may be of a rare kind and if positively ID'ed, it's photos could help expand and improve PlanetCatfish's Cat-eLog - a highly valueable resource used worldwide.
Just my thoughts
Vids can be posted here too, albeit I have never done it. I imagine this capability is found in the same "Advanced reply" window(s) used to attach photos.
