I want my piranhas to get bigger i have reds and rhombeus they are about 2" i want to get them bigger but the only thing they eat is feeders can someone tell me wat other ways to make them eat a different diet

Don't feed them for a few days. Then try introducing your new food you want to convert them to. If they don't go for it, wait a couple more days and try again. If more than a week goes by and they don't eat, feed them a couple feeders and repeat. They will eventually accept the new food as a fish won't starve itself to death.

Beef heart and other high protein foods are good for growth. (sinking carnivore pellets etc)

I just weaned a tank of Reds off shrimp. They steadfastly refused to eat anything but shrimp. I started last night and soaked Tilapia fillets in garlic water. I soak them for an hour or so and they eat it well.

In regards to making them grow faster. I keep my temperature about 85 degrees and attempt to feed them every 45 minutes or so. I also run two large powerheads and have two large air pumps to keep oxygen levels high. Needless to say general water quality is a huge issue for growth and general well being.

ETA;
Using this method I grew 5 Reds from quarter size to about 5'' in 2 months or so.

feed hikari floating food sticks...

that along with weekly water changes and massive filtration will make ur Ps grow like super weeds..

i started mine on the pellets right after i put them in my tank.. i got them when they were a bit under a quarter size in july/aug and now they are mostly around the 6inch mark with a couple 7 inchers..

for feeding just feed pellets every day and either shrimp, fish fillets, or beefheart on the weekend as a "treat"
