Neetroplus nematopus? lacking white vertical bar i know, yet similar shape and colouration. Maybe it is just washed out

i hate to sound like one of those beggars trying to be a chooser, but i have to disagree with the Hypsophrys nicaraguensis. the fish doesn't have those colors, and it has dark vertical stripes. the fish is way too dark in general to be that. i will get back to work on tuesday and try to take a better picture. it's really hard though, cause all he does is hide (hence why i took him out). until then, anymore guesses??
