If you have questions, alot of people have them here.
Myself included ;)

Wow!!! What great fish, do you keep them in a species tank or large predatory community??
What do you feed them??

They can be kept with some other types of fish but it depends on what the others are,I have one with two other tyes of payara for now.The bigger they get,the less tolerant they are known to be of other fish.Mine is still a baby at nine inches.

There are three main types of payara and they are armatus which usually do not do well with tank mates. Unless they are as big or bigger than they armatus. And they do not do well with other armatus's usually etheir. And then there are Tatuaia or tat's and they are a schooling fish that do great in groups and will tolerate allmost any tank mate that is atleast half there size usually. And then there are scombs which are said to have problems in aquariums but do well in schools and with other fish to big to eat. Just remember those teeth are there for a reason and when hungry or irratated they may try to eat other fish.
