can someone id this for me?

i found plants in my front yard that remind me a lot like HC, but just a guess. can somebody id it for me with a definite answer? its got 4 petals and vines that seem connected to each other. thanks

i can't id it, but i can definitely rule out clover

Tough to say. That plant is in its emersed form. The easiest thing would be to submerge a small amount of it, and see if it will still grow.

A friend of mines has it growing in his yard too. He planted it. i dont know the name but I bet if you take the pic to a garden store, they would identify it for you.
