i got this guy a couple of weeks ago and he or she has already killed four of my other fish. he's only like five inches long. and he took out two 4in jags two african chiclids and he's been working on my 4.5in flowerhorn. only thing safe in the tank with him is my 3.5in cuban 8in pleco and 5in oscar

Aye, Scat nailed it. They are a type of Lugubris pike, so expect them to get in the 12 to 14" range. This species comes from really pristine water conditions, so its VERY important to keep your water clean. Even then more likely than not it will get HITH. Unless you have really soft, low pH water, you can almost count on it. :(

Great pikes though! Definitely a keeper! :)
